2006 / 07 SPECIAL EVENT NIGHTS Tip Off Club Covered Dish Dinner, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Walton High School in the Cafeteria. OUR TIPOFF TO A GREAT SEASON BEGINS WITH A PRE-SEASON DINNER. This is an informal evening where coaches, players, managers, cheerleaders and families share with each other and learn about the upcoming season. We continue the tradition of welcoming the coaches, parents and players of the Walton Junior Raider program to this dinner. Here’s looking forward to a Great Evening! Nov. 28, 2006 (Tues.) Elementary Night All elementary feeder school students are invited to be special guests at this home game. You will be admitted free of charge if you wear your school shirt or present a school ID. (Parents must pay.) Special reserved seating is provided and you will be recognized as a group during both halftimes. Jan. 13, 2007 (Sat.) Winterfest Night Winterfest is an entire week of activities geared to recognize winter sports at Walton. Players are treated to breakfast, a lunch, there is a dance, and a Pep Rally. The Winterfest Court is introduced this night between the girls and boys game and a king and queen are crowned. Jan. 16, 2007 (Tues.) 6th Man Club Night The Sixth Man Club is the Walton Basketball Spirit Club. They have a section in the stands and support all Walton basketball games. This night is to recognize this enthusiastic Club. Jan. 19, 2007 (Fri.) Junior Raider Night All coaches and members of the Junior Raider program are invited to be special guests at this Walton Raider home game. You will be admitted free of charge (coaches are free also, but parents must pay) and have special reserved seating behind the Raider bench. You are included in the "tunnel" as each Varsity team enters the gym (as per Coaches' wishes). You will be introduced during the halftime of the respective games. Jan. 26, 2007 (Fri.) Sponsor Appreciation Night Sponsor representatives attending will be introduced between Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys games, at center court, and be presented with a certificate of apppreciation. Jan. 27, 2007 (Sat.) Alumni Night (rescheduled from Dec. 16) All Walton basketball alumni are invited to return to Walton for a girls and boys game. Former girls and boys players, cheerleaders, and coaches will be honored between the girls' and boys' games. A hospitality room with refreshments will be open after the girls' game and during the boys' game. Basketball alumni should feel free to bring your family. You will be introduced at halftime of the boys game and are encouraged to remain after the games for a reception hosted by the Walton Facilities Foundation. Jan. 30, 2007 (Tues.) Senior Night This is a night when Senior players and his or her parents/family are introduced between the games and congratulated at center court by the Head Coach and the Principal. The honoree and their families are invited to a reception following the boys game. Special Recognition Night This night any activities outside the basketball program will be recognized for their outstanding achievements. They will be recognized at half time. Feb. 25, 2007 (Sun.) 6:30 pm Closing Banquet All players and their families are invited to attend, and celebrate the great coaches, players, and trainers that make up the Walton Basketball program.
