2006 CAMP INFORMATION--BOYS Be sure to scroll all the way down as there is a great deal of information on this page about camps, including registration form, and information about Athletic Physicals offered at the Walton Gym on May 20, 2006. Boy’s Basketball Summer Information May 30-31-June 1---Tryouts and practice for summer teams Tuesday and Wednesday 7:00PM to 9:00PM---Thursday-TBA (evening) (JV and Varsity) June 2-3-4 Cherokee Varsity team Camp (selected Varsity only) Wednesday June 7th @ The Walker School 7:00 pm--JV game 8:00 pm--Varsity game June 10th--One day Varsity Team Camp at North Greenville University Leave Walton 8:30AM and return 9:00PM Monday June 12th @ North Springs HS (Varsity only) 6:00 pm Walton vs. Campbell 7:00 pm Walton vs. North Springs June 12-13-14 –Practice for UTC team Camp (all teams 9th-JV-Varsity) June 15-18—University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Team Camp (all teams 9th-JV-Varsity) These are the definite dates that I have finalized so far—We are still looking for another Varsity team camp the week of June 5th or 19th— As well as a local JV team camp in early June—We will also have various scrimmages scheduled throughout June with other schools (mostly Varsity)—We look to have our game schedules completed by June 23—with only workouts after that point. It is encouraged that you get involved as much as possible. It is going to be very competitive making the Varsity and JV teams next year—Also we are only taking a limited number of players this summer—It is going to be important what you do NOW in preparation. As promised, we have begun our off-season training— This will continue until school ends. Monday--Thursday 3:45 to 4:45 in weight room- Weight training for those not involved in weight class— Agility training for those that have a weight class Tuesday-Thursday gym workouts Everyone is ENCOURAGED to be involved.
