COBB COUNTY TIP-OFF CLUB
Mission Statement
To promote high school basketball and recognize its student-athletes throughout Cobb County.
Cobb County Tip-Off Club Membership
The club consists of all 23 schools (both public and private) that field a varsity high school basketball team in Cobb County. This includes 23 boys teams and 22 girls teams.
Recognition of Student-Athletes
The Cobb County Tip-Off Club will hold two award banquets throughout the year, recognizing a player of the month from each of the member schools. Forty-five student-athletes will be awarded plaques at each award’s dinner. At the conclusion of the season, an All-County banquet will take place. Here, the club will recognize the All-County teams, teams of the year, coaches of the year, Mr. and Ms. Cobb County Basketball, Coaching milestones, and top-ten rankings. Academic success will also be recognized, as the top ten boys and girls will the highest GPA will be awarded plaques. The club also intends to award two scholarships, one based on academics, the other on community service.
Tip-Off Club Goal:
To recognize as many Cobb County basketball student-athletes as possible throughout the year. This recognition will be not only based on their performance on the court, but also in the classroom and community.
Club Sponsorship
In order to be able to accomplish our goals of recognizing players, as well as promoting basketball throughout Cobb County, the Club is attempting to acquire several corporate sponsors to help us in this endeavor. Our goal is to have two to three major sponsors who will be recognized on all the plaques and functions, which would contribute between two and three thousand dollars each. Although this is our goal, any sponsorship level will go a long way to helping the Cobb County Tip-Off Club achieve their goal.
Yours in Basketball,
Joe Goydish
