Coach Karen Duncan begins her first year as a head coach at Walton High School for the Varsity Girls 2007 / 08 season. Prior to coming to Walton she was the Assistant Varsity Coach at Gainesville High School for two years under Manson Hill. While there, she was both a Guard and Post Coach, where three of her players went on to play college basketball.

Before Gainesville she was the assistant basketball coach at Pope High School for five years under Fred Wheeler. Coach Duncan was a college assistant basketball coach for two years at Piedmont College.

Coach Duncan played her college career at nationally ranked Auburn University at Montgomery in Alabama. While at AUM, Coach Duncan started three years for a top 10 ranked team. She played high school basketball at North Hall in Gainesville, GA.

Coach Duncan has a Masters in Education from Piedmont College. She is certified in Broad Field Science.
